Vintage Italian 18k Gold Modernist Buff Cut Citrine Ring

This exceptional modernist 18k gold ring features a buff top citrine which rises like a thick drop of honey just about to ooze over the setting. A buff cut gem has no facets on the top, like a cabochon, but is faceted underneath to reflect light through the stone. Long pavilion facets along the underside of the citrine offer flashes of light that grandly illuminate the rich whiskey-hued gem. The body of the ring is sumptuous and substantial, with curvaceous hunky shapes that are mesmerizing to behold and feel night and weighty upon the finger.
