Vintage 18k Gold and Platinum Old European Cut, Old Mine Cut and Rose Cut Diamond Ring

This unique 1940’s ring is a celebratory ode to the many diamond-cutting techniques of the past. Present upon the ring’s central platinum face are three old European cut, two old mine cut, and four rose cut diamonds, all sparkling brightly from their clearly delineated quadrants. Two voluminous bows appear to be tied on either side of the ring’s upper shank, embracing the diamond and platinum face between them. When viewed from above, these many unique elements read as both organic and structural, and charmingly reminiscent of old-fashioned cellophane wrapped sweets.
