Qu'hier Que Demain "More Than Yesterday, Less Than Tomorrow" Blue Enamel and Diamond 14k Gold Band

“Each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.” This beautiful passage, written by Rosemonde Gerard, is an excerpt from a poem she wrote for her husband in 1889. “More than yesterday, less than tomorrow” was popularized by the French jeweler Alphonse Augis in his iconic "Medaille d'amour" pendants. This stunning piece comes from this romantic lineage of jewelry, here represented in arguably the most romantic form: a ring, representing eternal love. The words and symbols stand out in gold amidst midnight blue enamel. Rows of diamonds frame either side of the thick band, contrasting dramatically with the nearly pristine dark enamel.
