Midcentury c. 1951 English 18k Gold Old Mine Cut Diamond Five Stone Boat Engagement Ring
This plump midcentury c. 1951 English 18k gold ring features a lineup of five old mine cut diamonds perfectly nestled into a boat shape atop a hefty band. The discreet bead prongs practically disappear in the waterfall of handcut facets created by the sleek row. The slightest carvings in the band form parentheses which subtly yet enthusiastically frame the face of this satisfying piece, which could happily function as either engagement ring or wedding band.
