Antique Carnelian Intaglio Goddess 9k Gold Signet Ring

Carnelian has been used in jewelry since ancient times. It was common practice for Roman soldiers to carry a piece of the stone with them into battle, as it was believed to impart courage and strength. This antique Victorian signet ring draws upon that heritage, with a striking intaglio of a goddess poised upon its glassy sanguine surface. The setting resembles ionic columns, which taper gracefully as they curve around the finger.
