A perfectly imperfect mound of rose cut diamond flashes from its silver collet setting in this antique Portuguese 19k gold ring. Like a mote around a castle, a ring of intensely royal blue enamel holds space between the central gem and the sumptuously carved gold halo. A simple shank dotted with orbs at either shoulder round off the piece with a refined contemporary feeling.
