Antique Georgian Stuart Crystal Pendant
This remarkable and transfixing pendant was crafted soon after the beheading of King Charles I in 1649, when it became popular amongst Royalists to signify their continued loyalty to the monarch. Behind a fuchsia foil-backed rock crystal of remarkable clarity lie woven swaths of hair ornamented with characteristic gold ciphers, creating depth as rich as the history of the piece itself.
