Antique Georgian/Early Victorian 18k Gold Enamel Ring
This expansive and sumptuous antique Georgian/early Victorian 18k gold ring features a signet-like shield framed in inverted scallops of cobalt blue enamel. The organic shoulders have been rendered in meticulous repouseé to create rotund floral shapes, some of which still contain beautifully-worn pools of white, cobalt and periwinkle enamel. This piece really immerses you in a world long-past, and alludes with its softened surfaces to the centuries between now and its creation.
