Antique Banded Agate Cherub Cameo Mounted in a Vintage 14k Gold Signet Ring

An outstanding antique banded agate has been carved to show a tromping cherub carrying a bird upon a his shoulder. The milky white figure stands in stark contrast to the black vignette, with expressive yet precise details which utterly captivate. The intaglio predates the ring, which is itself a vintage 14k gold squared signet setting weighing a whopping 11.3g.
