1920's Egyptian Revival Sphinx 14k Gold Fob Pendant

This monumental 14k gold sphinx fob was crafted in the 1920's when Egyptian Revival jewelry expressed the air of excitement around the archeological discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb. It's such a delight to see the grandeur of the Sphinx articulated on this scale, with such immaculate detailing in the feathers and musculature, and the stoic yet serene expression on the face. The bottom of the fob acts as a solid foundation upon which the Sphinx rests, and the sleek underside is ready to be engraved if desired.
